Supports GIS mobile field tools, interactive maps, and dashboards for tracking permits, inspections, water-quality sampling, and vector-control outcomes. Maps and dashboard enable users to locate facilities, identify hotspots, prioritize inspections, and monitor compliance trends across parishes and health regions.

The GIS Unit ensures that health records across APIs, Electronic Health Records, and shared health platforms maintain strong unique and geographic identifiers to support secure linkage, interoperability, and enterprise mapping.

Secure Data Exchange

Collaborates with IT professionals to implement secure, token-based APIs that standardize record identifiers across laboratory and case investigation systems for accurate linkage and mapping.

Electronic Health Records (ERHs)

Works to ensure that electronic health records include validated, geocoded locations and facility IDs so that cases align to the correct jurisdiction and can be mapped quickly.

Shared Health Records Platform (SHROP)

Partners with IT professionals to make health records location-aware, so SHROP can map outbreaks, flag clusters, and dispatch investigations where they are needed.
